Study finds insufficient data for the majority of REACH registrations ECHA or the European Chemicals Agency came up with an evaluation report in 2018 on REACH Regulation which showed that a lot of essential information was missing from most of the registrations. In fact, a whopping 75% of the evaluated REACH registrations had data missing from their entries. Studies were also conducted by the German Environment Agency (UBA) as well as the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and they found that around 24 percentage of entries did not meet REACH protocols. Many companies also omitted essential data that demanded stricter scrutiny of the registrations in the coming years. ECHA has lately announced that by 2023they are going to evaluate REACH registrations of more than hundred metric tons.
